A little girl meets a dog who sings, philosophizes, and speaks several languages. With *Thélonius & Lola*, Serge Kribus weaves a tender, musical fable about friendship, difference, and the rejection of exclusion.
Lola discovers Thélonius, a dog without a collar who lives in hiding in a city that has become hostile to stray animals. An immediate friendship blossoms between them, fueled by music, play, and a shared curiosity about the world. But a new law has just been passed: dogs without collars must be expelled. Faced with this injustice, Lola refuses to look the other way.
After hosting Babil in 2021, the PÔLE welcomes back the Du Jour au Lendemain theater company with this new production directed by Agnès Régolo. Blending theater, song, movement, and humor in a world inspired by road movies and animal fables, *Thélonius & Lola* delicately explores themes of racism, fear of the other, and solidarity. A tender and accessible show that celebrates the power of community, imagination, and defiance in the face of injustice.
