Youth Book Festival

The municipality of Eygalières is organising its second Youth Book Festival! Who is it for? Children, teenagers, parents, grandparents... whether you like reading or not! Everyone, whatever their age, is sure to find an activity they enjoy: entertainment for young and old, round tables, reading, creative, illustration and writing workshops, reading aloud competitions, book signings, discussions with professionals (authors, illustrators, booksellers, librarians and health professionals) and volunteers who love reading, games, and more. Programme: • 10 a.m. - Charles Galtier Media Library: literary café • 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m. - Charles Galtier Media Library: writing workshop with Susie Morgenstern • 2 p.m. - Village centre: opening speech by Aline Pélissier, mayor of the village • from 2:15 p.m. - Village centre: meet-and-greet book signings Discussions and book signings with authors, illustrators and paediatricians-authors • 2.15pm - Illustration, writing and creative workshops • 3.30pm-5.30pm - Round tables with authors and healthcare professionals on the writing profession and the benefits of reading • 5:30–7:00 p.m. – Reading aloud competition • 7:00 p.m. – Reception with the organising teams and guests Throughout the day: - Children's book sales stand - Workshop on customising a book box for the village school, led by artist Zine - Entertainment with games and mascots in the afternoon - Bookmark decoration workshop in the afternoon - Reading corners Confirmed professionals: Susie Morgenstern, author for all ages - Bronn, illustrator - Heitz, author and illustrator for pre-teens and teens - Rachel Zimra, author and illustrator - Salomon, author and illustrator - Mélanie Frachon, general practitioner - Harel, illustrator of mythological characters - Doctor Arnault Pfersdorff, paediatrician, author, columnist - Zine, village artist For more information, visit the Eygalières Town Hall website.
