Save the date for Saturday, 16 May, to take part in the second edition of the Children's Book Festival in the centre of Eygalières, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.!
The town of Eygalières is hosting the second edition of its Children’s Book Festival!
Who’s it for? Children, teenagers, parents, grandparents… whether you love reading… or not!
Everyone, whatever their age, is sure to find an activity they’ll enjoy: entertainment for young and old, round-table discussions, reading, creative, illustration and writing workshops, a reading aloud competition, book signings, discussions with professionals (authors, illustrators, booksellers, librarians and healthcare professionals) and volunteers who love reading, games…
Programme:
• 9.30am to 10.30am – Charles Galtier Media Library: literary café, with Susie Morgenstern and Theresa Bronn
• 10.30am to 12pm – Charles Galtier Media Library
- Writing workshop, with Susie Morgenstern (for children and parents)
- Illustration workshop, with Theresa Bronn (for children aged 6 to 8)
• 2.00 pm – Place de la Fontaine: opening address by Aline Pélissier, mayor of the village
• from 2.15 pm – Librairie de l'Avenir: discussions and book signings with authors and illustrators...
• 5.30 pm to 7.00 pm – Place de la Fontaine: reading aloud competition

• 2.15pm to 3.15pm – Illustration workshop, with Theresa Bronn (for pre-teens and teenagers)
• 2.15pm to 3.45pm – Illustration workshop (for pre-teens, teenagers and parents) + Family workshop: mythological mural, with Émilie Harel
• 2.15pm to 3.45pm – ‘Create Your Own Little God’ workshop, with Rachel Zimra (for children aged 6 and over)
• 2.15pm to 3.45pm – ‘Create and Draw YOUR Monster’ workshop, with Bruno Salamone

Running throughout the day:
- Children’s book stall
- Workshop on customising a book box for the village school, led by the artist Zine
- Entertainment with games and mascots in the afternoon
- Bookmark decoration workshop in the afternoon
- Reading corners
