We are a small family-run business that has been in the same family since 1870. Traditional yet innovative, in 1920 the Moulin de Bédarrides commissioned the illustrator and painter Léo LELEE (1872–1947), a pioneer of Provençal Art Deco, to create its commercial image. True to this region, the artist chose the olive tree and Mireille, a famous character from Frédéric Mistral’s work, as the two subjects of his artwork. Still marketed under the same brand, the olive oil from the Moulin de Bédarrides is produced almost exclusively from olives harvested in the orchards of the Mas de Bédarrides. This origin limits the quantity of oil produced at the mill but ensures its quality is maintained.
