Winner of the Dino Ciani Competition (1983) and the famous Warsaw Chopin Competition (1985), Jean-Marc Luisada has enjoyed an outstanding concert and recording career for over 30 years, playing in prestigious concert halls throughout the world.
In this recital, Jean-Marc Luisada pays several tributes. Tribute to the music that has built his life, to the cinema that fills it and, more personally and profoundly, to his parents who taught him to love cinema and music.
A precious material for emotional construction, the great repertoire of classical music has often been used by the cinema. The great filmmakers Visconti, Louis Malle, Bergman, Woody Allen... to name but a few, have used music to underline the drama of a scene, the beauty of an emotion.
This is not a concert dedicated to film music, but simply an evocation of the cinema, showing how certain works from the repertoire that we love have been able to crystallise in our memory the images of the greatest films.
