Chabanon ski resort

The ski resort of Chabanon in Selonnet, in the department of Alpes de Haute Provence in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region near Seyne les Alpes, is located 1,612 meters above sea level and above the village of Selonnet. In the heart of the Vallée de la Blanche, between forests and pastures, this Natura 2000 protected site offers a vast playground for hikers in summer. Skiing and other winter sports in Chabanon

The Chabanon ski area offers more than 40 kilometers of marked trails accessible by ski lifts so you can practice or improve your downhill skiing skills. The Chabanon family ski resort in Selonnet is adapted to all levels: kids and adults, beginners and experienced skiers alike. If you wish, you can take group or private lessons at the ESF (French Ski School) so you can learn how to ski. The ESF also offers snowboard and ski touring lessons. The instructors will also take care of the children in the snow garden and the Piou Piou club. When the weather is good, the experienced skiers will be able to enjoy skiing on the longest night skiing slope in Europe.

To explore the area and discover the magnificent panoramas, go ski touring there. Take the marked trails starting from the Les Clots ski lift. You can also go snowshoeing there. Kids from 7 years old and adults can go out with a guide whatever their level is. Day and night, you can go on fun trails trying to spot foxes or deers or admire the larch forests. You will also be able to dog sled through breathtaking snowy landscapes.

Summer outdoor in Chabanon

In the summer in Chabanon, there are so many outdoor activities to experience such as paragliding. With your family or friends, you will be able to take off from Chabanon for a paragliding flight in the sky of the Valley to discover breathtaking landscapes from the sky!

If you prefer land activities, you can go riding in the Bike Park of Chabanon. Several downhill mountain bike trails welcome beginners or experienced mountain riders on a dedicated and secure site. You can also go on a hike to discover the natural heritage of this tourist region. For example, you will be able to hike around Tête Grosse, go to the Monges massif, to the Valentin forest or take the Monges’ chairlift.
