Mediterranean destination
The French Riviera offers you here its generous light and vibrant colours. Swimming enthusiasts can enjoy beaches with a variety of atmospheres: while the Plage des Oursinières, next to the port, is easily accessible, the beaches of Monaco and Bonnettes, bordered by pine trees, offer a wilder atmosphere. Le Pradet also offers many water sports activities with scuba diving, kayak rental, an underwater trail in the Garonne Bay… You can also enjoy the many animations and tourist attractions of the nearby seaside resorts of Le Pradet.
The National Park of Port-Cros and Porquerolles
Discover the archipelago of the Golden Islands just a stone’s throw from the Massif des Maures. Port-Cros, once protected from barbarian incursions by fortifications such as the Fort de l’Estissac, has an exceptional biodiversity. You can observe birds such as the Leach’s gull, the Mediterranean shearwater and the booted eagle. The island of Porquerolles is also home to an exceptional fauna and flora, and since 1971 has housed the Mediterranean National Botanical Conservatory. The Parc de Port-Cros protects the Golden Islands, but also an exceptional coastal fringe. Finally, the Ile du Levant, the easternmost of the Golden Islands, is home to the reserve of arbutus trees. Heliopolis, on the Ile du Levant, is one of the oldest naturist centres in Europe. Discover also paradisiacal beaches and seabeds of exceptional beauty.
