In 2020 Romain, cheese-maker and ripener, took over from Josiane Déal, "M.O.F" who set up the store in 1990. The cheese dairy selects its producers with an emphasis on quality and local produce, maturing our regional cheeses in its cellars.

The Lou Canesteou cart can come to you, your company or your premises. English or German available.
Lou Canesteou" means "wicker basket" in Provençal, and the store also offers a selection of wines, delicatessen, charcuterie and cured meats to match the cheeses. Retail cheese, cheese by the slice, platters to order, fresh cheeses, crème fraîche, yoghurts.... A temple for cheese lovers and gourmets, with a small delicatessen section.
Licensed for over 20 years, Lou Canesteou works with around a hundred establishments (restaurants, hotels, bed & breakfasts, wine bars, delicatessens, etc.) around Vaison la Romaine. Delivery directly with the cheese dairy's refrigerated lorries, or via carrier.
