Description

Marseille Jazz 2026 celebrates jazz that's alive, open and daring. Between nature and emotions, artists from all over the world invite us to discover, feel and imagine a more beautiful and fearless world.
A new venue is very exciting! Marseille Jazz was born in a park, and in a park, a new adventure begins in 2026. Jazz needs space to deploy the immense diversity of its inspirations, jazz plays with the elements, a living music made for the vibration of the senses and the perception of emotions. Sensitivity on the skin, it's the bodies that propagate the beneficial wave. Music as nature: a unique experience! Dear audience, this program is for you. This year's line-up of artists is sure to delight. From here to there, songs from around the world, accents of all instruments, timbres and harmonies, our Jazz is open to discovery. Don't be afraid of the unknown: it carries with it fresh ideas and the promise of new sensations. Some even say it holds the key to saving a world locked in on itself, concentrated in doubts and suffering. Yet the world is so powerfully beautiful when it is no longer afraid. This is the message of all the artists present at this year's event. The praise of the wild and the apology of the living, this is the brilliance of 2026 for a Marseille Jazz des cinq continents more surprising than ever. Highlights include: The Orchestre National de Jazz, conducted by Sylvaine Hélary, for the first time in Marseille, with a tribute to pianist Carla Bley. The emblematic producer and DJ of world clubbing Gilles Peterson, a sonic explorer always ahead of his time. Célia Kameni, Victoire du Jazz 2025, with a singular voice between jazz and contemporary soul. The voices of José James and China Moses, two great voices of soul revisiting the golden age of Motown, with a vibrant and sensual tribute to Marvin Gaye. The new international scene with Kassa Overall, the new darling of New York jazz and a virtuoso drummer, for an evening of jazz, hip-hop, rap and electronica. An explosive performance. The sounds of West Africa with Awa Ly and her solar voice, in a unique blend of jazz, folk and soul. GoGo Penguin, a trio from Manchester that fuses jazz, classical and electro to create immersive, hypnotic music that's simply irresistible. British phenomenon Ezra Collective, with their modern, soul-influenced Afrobeat jazz for a festive, warm and rhythmic sound. French-Caribbean bassist Adi Oasis, with her irresistible funk and comforting soul with an infectious groove: a true revelation not to be missed! Sun Ra Arkestra, a mythical Afrofuturist ensemble with a stage performance and a philosophy, a piece of living jazz history. A first in France with Brazilian star Xēnia França, who sublimates R&B by infusing it with the ancestral rhythms of Bahia and the power of jazz. Colombian superstar Maité Hontelé, ambassador of salsa, with her trumpet and flugelhorn, takes us to the energetic rhythm of the Cuban sound.
