Description
After taking part in workshops to learn about symbolic movements, shared rhythm and forming a procession, "amatrices" will guide you on a collective march towards a sacred passage.
TNN offers a collective ritual experience based on Aeschylus' Suppliantes: Le Chemin des Danaïdes. A group of participants, guided by workshops in symbolic gestures and movements, will learn step by step the postures of supplication, offering and shared walking, transforming gesture into path. The procession will leave from the Musée d'Archéologie de Nice-Cimiez for the amphitheatre of the Arènes de Cimiez, bringing tragedy to the city. This is neither a show nor a simple stroll, but a ritual, silent walk that brings together body, memory and public space.
Le Chemin des Danaïdes invites the public to cross the threshold of tragedy together, not just as spectators, but as actors in a shared gesture.
Those wishing to take part in this procession must register for the workshops, which will take place at the Musée d'Archéologie de Nice-Cimiez, and therefore be available for all of the following dates:
- Wednesday June 17, 3pm to 5:30pm
