Description
For several decades, Pavel Schmidt has been developing a body of work that combines drawing, sculpture, writing and performance. His graphic universe is both ironic and meditative, drawing on references to art history, literature and philosophy.
The exhibition brings together a series of works on paper that combine figures, signs and fragments of thought. In these compositions, drawing becomes a space for experimentation and reflection, where the image becomes writing and the graphic gesture traces the contours of a poetic imagination. A subtle approach that questions the memory of forms and the evocative power of line.
