Description
Come and taste the famous Aioli at the Saint-Louis Festival in Mouriès!
Aioli is the iconic dish of Provence and an institution in the Alpilles region!
A simple but flavourful dish made with fish and a variety of seasonal vegetables, accompanied by a garlicky mayonnaise.
Aioli, which as its name suggests in Provençal, is made from two main ingredients, olive oil and garlic, can be enjoyed as a dish or as an appetiser on delicious, well-toasted croutons, accompanied by a glass of rosé, red or white wine from the Alpilles.
In 1954, the people of Mouriès innovated by creating a convivial country meal on the Cours Paul Révoil: the popular Aioli.
This gourmet and festive moment was to become the highlight of the votive festival.
Join us on Monday 24 August on the Cours Paul Révoil to treat your taste buds at the restaurants offering an ‘Aïoli’ set menu:
Café du Commerce, Café de l’Avenir, Grand Café du Cours (bookings are strongly recommended).
Musical entertainment provided by the Franck Oriat Orchestra.
The other restaurants will also be open, serving their traditional menus.
