You'll set off from the village of La Salle Les Alpes towards the sunny side of the Guisane valley, away from the ski slopes and ski lifts.
A steady climb will take you to the hamlet of Les Tronchets at an altitude of 1,900m, where the routes separate.
The Petit Parcours joins the valley via Puy de la Salle and Les Thures.
