Theater - The letter from Italy

The discovery of a letter that was not intended for him will take Luca on a quest for the lost paradise of childhood, in the footsteps of his father, a shepherd from Sardinia who fled hunger to become a laborer in France. Through this extraordinary moment of discovery of his roots, we discover the duality of an emigrant father and a son who is half-French, half-Italian. This is real life, with its smells, colors and emotions. It's also about the lack of words and the words that clutter up, the nostalgia that warms the heart, and perhaps holds the promise of the future.

The story invites us to reflect on the consequences of our choices, on what we consider truly right and necessary, on our relationships with others and with our own history. To flee something is to face something else. Who is really brave, the one who stays or the one who leaves? There's a kind of emotional distance between the one who stays and sees things gradually changing around him, and the look in the eyes of the one who has left, who has frozen memories of the world he left behind, a world that's unchanging, until he decides to come back...
